i'm Katherine and i'm on the edge of turning 17 right now, basically SNL,Comedy, Nirvana, and Foo fighters can be found on my blog.

I legit just bought a flannel a baby doll dress a band tee and an oversized cardigan. I am the 90’s

Anonymous: can i ask for advice? i got a shirt with kurt cobain on it and i'm nervous to wear it out because i don't want people to think i'm a poser when i'm actually a really big fan. idk what to do

tayloroo:

wear it proud my friend. and if anyone stops you to ask questions, you have two options: a) dazzle them with your fan-ly wits or b) pretend to know nothing, let them rouse you for a bit, then pull a “psyche!" and turn the tables. ask them the questions. “what was kurts grandmother’s favorite shade of toenail polish?” “how many bass strings did krist novoselic go through on the 1991 festival tour?” “what was chad channing’s most hated brand of sock?” when they waiver, place a gentle hand on their shoulder, soften your voice and profess, “it doesnt matter if you know any of that or not, my dear friend. whether you just like a shirt, or if you love the band to death - if you can recite a member’s favorite vacation spot or if it smells like the only song you know - none of that matters, kid. go on. be free”

laughatthestars:

today, my school hosted an exhibit for suicide awareness day. the exhibit included 1,100 backpacks in representation of the number of lives that are lost to mental illness each year on college campuses. many of these backpacks were donated by the families that lost loved ones and had their stories attached. i’m so proud of my school for bringing attention to such a serious issue.
